The Swan Hotel, Stafford has been rewarded with an upgraded Mobility Rating (M2) following a recent VisitBritain accessibility assessment.
The new rating, awarded by the VisitBritain Quality in Tourism scheme, is given to accommodation providers that illustrate a commitment to accessibility and provide facilities which are "typically suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for those that may need to use a wheelchair some of the time."
The most recent assessment, conducted in July 2007, resulted in an upgrade for the hotel from their previous Mobility-Three rating, this is due to actions resulting from recommendations provided by VisitBritain.
It is now intended to plan a schedule of further improvements based on the most recent report.
